Good occupational health and safety practices ensure that kindergartens, preschools and childcare centres are safe places for staff, volunteers, parents and other visitors.

KPV has extensive expertise with occupational health and safety issues from years of experience as an employer organisation.

This has enabled KPV to develop various occupational health and safety education and training resources as well as the capacity to offer occupational health and safety training courses. 

Children's Services OHS Champions Project

KPV has been successful in obtaining funding for a three year project to support OH&S in the children's services sector. KPV's project will specifically be focusing on:

  • Kindergartens
  • Long day care centres
  • Occasional care centres
The main objectives of the project are to:
  • Increase the sector's confidence in identifying  and managing occupational health and safety risks
  • Improve awareness of occupational health and safety
  • Develop resources tailored to the sector
