Important announcement - Kindergarten IT Project extended
KPV is delighted to advise members that Minister Lovell has announced that the funding of the Kindergarten IT Project will be extended until the end of this financial year. KPV applauds the Minister and her staff for the support of this critical initiative that impacts on all kindergartens.
This support will include Internet connectivity, Help Desk and remote technology assistance for those services that have received computers and are currently part of the program.
We have also been advised that Minister Lovell will strongly advocate for funding for IT to continue, having asked the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD) to identify sustainable options for ongoing support beyond June 2012.
This announcement is in addition to the $2,500 received by all kindergarten services in early June for IT and equipment grants. Together, these two important initiatives will help early childhood services continue to deliver high quality educational programs for the benefit of all Victorian children.
