In the News The new National Regulations released
The Ministerial Council for Education, Early Childhood Development and Youth Affairs have announced the release of the Education and Care Services National Regulations. The new regulations will support the introduction of a National Quality Framework for early childhood services in Australia which will come into effect from 1 January 2012.
KPV’s media release welcoming the announcement is available here. The final version of the National Regulations is now available through the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) website at www.acecqa.gov.au.
KPV Kindergarten Funding Submission
KPV has presented a submission on behalf of its members to the kindergarten funding model review undertaken by Deloitte Access Economics for the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development. The submission was informed by input from several independent kindergarten and cluster management members who provide services across Victoria. Cool Little Kids Study – Building Children’s Confidence to Start School Is your preschool service offering a 4-year-old kinder program in
Banyule, Boroondara, Frankston, Kingston, Knox, Maroondah, Whitehorse or Wyndham? If it does, then the Cool Little Kids research team invite you to take part in the Cool Little Kids study. Cool Little Kids is a parenting program which aims to help build shy preschool children’s confidence to start school. The program is currently being tested by researchers at the Royal Children’s Hospital.

Milly Sydney Martindale Conference Award Dr Sue Atkinson has developed six $200 awards called the Milly Sydney Martindale Conference Awards in honour of her late Godmother. The awards are specifically designed to support students studying early childhood who are experiencing financial hardship to be able to attend the Equity and Childhood Program's Honoring the Child, Honoring Equity Conference.
